Default TRICARE Prime vs TRICARE Select and PCM Recommendations

I am retired Coast Guard, my wife (56) and I (62) recently relocated to The Villages from Colorado where I used TRICARE Prime and received the majority of my care at the USAFA clinic. I maintained TRICARE Prime when we moved and have a PCM in Leesburg. I'm not thrilled about the office, but so far it has met my needs. My wife uses TRICARE Select and is happy with the arrangement she has.
I am very interested to know if other Villagers, using TRICARE Prime, have found a local PCM that they would recommend. We live on the north side of The Villages. I am also looking at the pros and cons of transitioning from Prime to Select.

The whole process is somewhat overwhelming and any experience/perspective would be much appreciated.

My wife and I had TriCare Select when we moved here and TVH accepts this plan. Not sure about TriCare Prime and TVH.

I am now on a Medicare C Advantage plan with TriCare for Life as a wrap around insurance. Wife still uses the Select plan until she hits 65. We are quite pleased how TriCare Select worked for us.

My husband (60yo) and I (59 yo) have been using Tricare Prime (West) for years. We moved to Florida a year ago and kept Prime and selected our PCM in Orlando. It is only a 50 minute drive and has a great healthcare network (Orlando Health). I am a retired nurse and am very picky about who my PCM and healthcare network are and I did a lot of research before selecting ours. Our PCM is Dr. Maria Echavez *(321) 841-6600‬ address 21 W Columbia Ste 201, Orlando FL 32806. We are very happy with her.

I knew that was possible, but not common.

how well is that combination working for you? any issues with staying in network? copays?

why would you choose a MA plan instead of just standard medicare with TFL?

(I am three years from medicare)
