Default The Villages Dental on 466

I would just like to say we had our first visit here on Tuesday. Having been in the field over 25+ years, I feel like I can make an educated opinion. This was a VERY professional and friendly staff. State of the art equipment, building and well trained personnel.

They gave me the most comprehensive exam I have ever had, very thorough. I saw Dr. Hall, and I loved him. Very friendly, professional, explains things very thoroughly, listens well and very calm.

I HIGHLY recommend this practice!!!!!!!

I went there and all they wanted was tons of money to support all that hi tech equipment. I felt their prices were very high.

I went to them when I first moved here. I had Dr. Hall and he was very nice.
He wanted to do a lot of stuff for a very large amount of money !! At the time a crown was $1,000.00 !!!
I called Marion Dental and they said a crown was $600.00. I went there. Dr. Edwards, who is a sweet heart, said the work they wanted to do at Village Dental was very unnecessary ! Been going to Marion Dental ever since.

I have been going there for years. They are proactive, but it is your call. If you just want basic work, say so. They stand behind their work and over the years have done work for free.

Default Dental Crowns

This is just my opinion, but I do know that 'good' dentists are not critical of another dentist's work or recommendations. A great dentist will make the absolute best course of treatment and present it in a way that says...this is what I feel is your best treatment, but it is always up to you, the patient. That is what we did in our office in PA.

Also, there are a lot of factors that are part of the cost of the crown. What you need to know is that there are several metals that are components used by a lab. There is a base metal, a noble metal, high-noble metal, titanium....and now all-ceramic. And within the ceramics, there are choices as well. The lab that is used is important. Another factor in the cost is what it pays for in the office. You want a quality dentist, a quality hygienist that educates you, and you want that office to have quality office staff as well.

If you think that just because your insurance plan values a crown on $600, please know that the insurance company really doesn't care if you have a crown or extraction. They would rather pay for the extraction, period.

Just remember that you need to value your dentition because it has to last you a long time here in TV.

The dentist at Marion Dental, was definitely not critical at all. He by no means sad anything bad, just that he didn't feel that and some other things needed to be done.
Years ago I had all my cavities done in porcelain except for a very large silver filling in my last back tooth which my dentist said was too big to do without breaking the whole tooth. The filling is pretty much the whole tooth and has been there about 42 years.
Village Dental wanted to take that out and do porcelain.
Marion Dental said the same thing as my Michigan dentist. The tooth would probably break & I would end up needing an implant.

I'll give my kukos to Dr Hall & staff. The temp crown I had by him is better than the final crown I had at my previous dentist in WISC.

I have been going to Village Dental for a few years now and I am very pleased with everything. The staff is exceptional and professional. The costs do seem a little higher than others, but I feel it's well worth it. With my insurance I have to pay 100% of the costs out of pocket, then my insurance reimburses me. Village Dental is very prompt in submitting my claim and I get my refund in a very timely manner. I see Dr. Farrell, wonderful dentist who takes the time to listen.

Went to Village Dental, Dr. Farrell once. I have always had dentists tell me I take excellent care of my teeth - more than one dentist has told me that. Dr. Hall told me I needed a bunch of dental work totally a bunch of money. I told him I was absolutely afraid of dentists due to a very bad experience I had and his words were, and I quote "you'll have to get over it". No compassion, no conversation, nuttin. Never went back.
