My doc has always shown up for appointments. I have (twice) been offered alternate providers in order to get in faster (as in same day) rather than having to wait a day or two.

One doc at Colony is rumored to have been asked to leave due to patient complaints. And I have heard rumors (but have not confirmed) that 1 doc is part time.

I had the original doctor that was asked to leave and I was on the complainers. Can't imagine how she ever got hired unless she talked a good game.

In case you haven't been to the Villages Health Care website lately, they recently updated their various pages that show the physicians to include if each doctor is open to new patients or that their dance card is full. I'm providing the link below as an example, but you can access the other centers from that same page on the "Care Centers" drop down menu.

Never had that problem. Always saw my doc. I expect to see someone else if I need an appointment same day I called.

Default You lucky ducks, able to go to these nice centers.

sigh. They won't take our previously very much liked and accepted everywhere Aetna PPI insurance.

We have changed PCP lately and he is o.k. but I have had to request twice for staff to get records from old doctor. It puts you behind if you don't have your previous medical records and they got it mixed up because they didn't get the spelling of his name right. So you are wasting the doctors time and your own not having the previous records.

I am just not really satisfied with my medical adventure here yet.

I really do like endocrinologist Dr. Hamilton Fish and dermatologist Dr. Casper at Allied Dermatology and heinie doctor, Charlie Han. Too early in the game to say I am crazy about new PCP. Old one TALKED too much about family etcand made you late for things and I thought performed unnecessary tests. I really miss our family doctor in Cincinnati.

Charlie Han is the greatest! He did a very high risk surgery on my mom (due to major cardiac issues) and did a very good job.

I had surgery last month with Tammy Luk. She's also very very good.

Would recommend either for folks needing surgery.

Yes very happy overall ... at least so far.

We both like Dr. Betts ... plus I got an email with my routine lab results and a link to view them in detail in secure database ... nice feature. Will discuss with the Dr. next week.

I have to respectfully disagree. Other than normal growing pains for a new organization, TV health service reminds us of MD VIP ... a concierge service we belonged to up north.

There will be a center opening at LSL fairly soon, and there is a doctor at Colony Center that I've seen and like that is slated to transfer to LSL when it opens. His name is Dr. Reilly and you can find info on him by scrolling down at:

Colony Care Center | The Villages
There was a nice article about Dr. Reilly with a photo of him in today's Sun on page A6. Apparently he is going to be the Medical Director at the Lake Sumter Creekside center. BTW, If I didn't already have a doctor I'm happy with (Dr. Noel) I'd jump onboard with Dr Reilly in a heart beat!

Also, here is a map that shows some (not all) of the center locations, current & future with dates of expected openings.
