Default Husband needs ear care

My husband has been having some hearing difficulties, maybe just an ear wax problem. Where can he go for help? I do not see but just one ear specialist in TV.

Check with your primary MD first; he can check and if it's just wax, they should be able to do that in the office. If specialty care is needed, have your primary refer you; sometimes a must to get into a specialists' office. Hope this helps.

The newspaper is full of hearing aid places. Most will check for wax in the ears then give a free hearing test. I'm on my 4th set of hearing aids and can tell you that when the time comes to buy hearing aids it's like buying a car and the prices can be negotiated. The price that they give you can be had for probably 30 to 50% less.

You don't have to be a member to be tested...Costco.

No reason to go anywhere else--Lake ENT is great. Their Audiologist, Paige Holt, is the best. They are located across 441 from the Sharon Morse Bldg. 753-8448.

Most hearing aid places have testers that are trained just for that; they are not Audiologists.

I used Paige Holt at Lake ENT in The Villages for an audiologist. She was fabuous and I ended up with a hearing aid. For sinus issues, I also saw Dr.Vaught in Leesburg (same group, Lake ENT) and he was pretty good too, though the office staff is just ok.
