Default Gyno who also does BioIdentical Hormone Therapy

I am looking for a doctor who does Bioidentical Hormone Therapy. Mine is now over 4 hours away. Has anyone found someone in or near the villages who does this? Also looking for a good Gynocologist who actually sees their patients, and does not have the PA do the exam.

Dr Steepy does bio-identical hormones. However, unless you have a very specific problem, you will most likely never see her. Her NP is nice but it just seems weird that you are a patient of a certain Dr, but can go years without even knowing what they look like. Insurance assumes you are seeing the Dr. I've been "seeing" a neurologist for 1 1/2 years, but have never laid eyes on the doc. Saw a dermatologist for 2 years....don't have a clue if he even exists. Sorry this is off topic....just a pet peeve of mine.

I've been a patient of Dr. Steepy's for almost 10 years. If she came to my front door, I wouldn't know who it was because I've never seen her. Her office only lets me make an appointment with her PA. Although Rosemary Kipp, the PA is good, I am not fond of being refused an appointment with the doctor when I specifically asked for one.

Dr. Steepy is a very very good GYN you would see her if there was a problem. She is seeing the surgical patients. but regular routine exams are for her NP's
whom I might add are very good, if you should have something that they think you should see her for, you would see her. I have been seeing her for 12 years, she did surgery a year ago. I also get my bio-identicals from her. The other MD mentioned is very expensive for the hormones , i was quoted 400+ and is NOT covered by ins. her office told me.

In June I will be going to a Sotto Pelé trained doctor, Dr. Douglass H. Moffett who has an office over by the hospital, same thing Nurse Practitioner sees you, I was quoted $200.00 for the estrogen/testosterone implants. I take oral generic Progesterone which is covered by insurance with a small copay, and my labs are covered for checking my levels several times a year so far. I have been doing this 4 years up north and couldn't be happier.

IMHO Dr. Desai isn't a gyno.--I think she's family or general practice. I went to her a few times and not once did she do any integrative medicine (I had such a doctor up north) with her treatment of me. I quit going!
