Default Medicare and nebulizer medications

I am a disabled RN with COPD on Medicare with supplement J. Previously, I had excellent medical coverage through work that also had excellent medication coverage. I am currently on 2 inhalation medications using a nebulizer. Prior to extensive research online, I expected to pay out of pocket for the 2 medications. As a nurse, I was unaware of Medicare coverage for these drugs. I will add NO doctor told me about Medicare payments. Continue forward...I checked with the pharmacy who I had supplied my Medicare care, J plan, and medication coverage. The pharmacy was ready to charge me $8500 a month! My Medicare and insurance was totally ignored!!! I called the pharmacy and Medicare and insurance was charged. Medicare picked up 80% and J plan picked up the balance after quite a fight. I sit home and do a lot of research due to my disability. I guess my point to those that are interested is: please make sure you thoroughly research Medicare items. By no means am I an expert but willing to help whenever I can.
