Scam?anyone had prob selling TOTV classifieds buyer wants to pay by cert ck or money order? Says we shd remove listing on TOTV & consider item sold. Agent will p/u after he sends pymt & assures me item will not leave my side til $ is in my acct& clears.I requested cash @ time of p/u. Response: he will be patient w/me til pymt cleared as he is an honest man.He request my addr for p/up. Husband sent him that he appreciates that (buyer) says he is an honest man,but bk needs time to clear ck.I got the following email: "I will proceed w/pymt.I will need to p/u w/agent who handle all my consignment & confirm so they can figure schedule I have added $ for the shipping to cover the p/u in your pymt. further instr to follow once you rec'd pymt & have it deposited." Alarm going off in my head as scam. if a cert ck clears, the bk & weeks have gone by, these cks can come back as fraud & then become my responsibility to reimb bk so my $ would be gone as well as my sold item.
