Star car: In november we purchased a new star car. Great cart, plenty of speed and great seating. The rear seating system and golf bag carrier is unique. It works great to carry passengers. We like it very much and are happy with our purchase. So far only one problem. The driver's side seat belt retractor housing came off and the belt won't work. I sure the dealer can fix that. Other complaints: When the rear step and seat are down, the golf bag belt hangs in front of the tail lite and the lights cannot be seen very well. We contacted the dealer and they said that is the way it was designed and they couldn't do anything about it. Simple fix. Remove the belt housing and take a large adjustable wrench and bend the bar to just over 90 degrees. Gets the belt away from the tail lites and still leaves room for your bags. Second problem. When the rear step is up, the 2 1/2" hole drilled in the step restricts the tail lite almost complete. Again we contacted the dealer. Same reply, "that's the way it was designed". Quick fix. Use a jig saw with metal cutting blade and widen the hole to expose the whole tail lite. We used 1/4" inside diameter fuel line, purchased at lowe's, slit it on one side and installed over new opening.
