Has anyone, especially the baby boomers, thought about euthanasia?

What a stupid question. Why would anyone even think of such a thing? It doesn't even enter their minds. Oh, of course if you were so ill and no chance of recovery, it might make sense to think about it, but not if you are just old but still can think clear. It would never enter your mind.

Actually euthanasia is helping someone commit suicide, but it can go much further than that.

In 1938, our old friend Hitler ordered widespread "mercy killing" of the sick and disabled. I have a notion that many or most of these people really didn't want to do it, but they didn't have a choice. They were a drain on Hitler's society. They were taking to much tax dollars to support. Their medication was costing the younger people who had to pay for it, just to much money.

Code named "Aktion T 4," the Nazi euthanasia program to eliminate "life unworthy of life" at first focused on newborns and very young children. Midwives and doctors were required to register children up to age three who showed symptoms of mental retardation, physical deformity, or other symptoms included on a questionnaire from the Reich Health Ministry http://www.historyplace.com/worldwar...euthanasia.htm

In a way, it sounds a little like 98% of the abortions today. Wow!!! What am I trying to do? Am I comparing today's abortions with Aktion T 4?

Well, at least most of these babies have never breathed, but none the less, they were viable human beings that, well, they just were undesirable to someone. When you think of it, it does kind of sound like Aktion T 4.

Human life in this country has less and less importance. Could it finally become a time when the younger people, lets say in their teens to 40's, just can't afford all the expense of these older people (baby boomers) and especially the sick ones.

But, of course that could never happen, could it?
I am 71 and it won't be a problem to me, I hope. But, if I were 50 right now, and I look at the cost of Medicare and Social Security, and that those kids will have to pay more and more to keep me, could it happen.

It's a good thing to take into consideration when you vote for abortion. Remember what it might lead to when you are 80.
