I saw that you contacted Radioman about ham radio. I don't know what kind of response he made, but you need to be aware that ham radio antennas are "forbidden" in The Villages. There are, however, a lot of stealth antennas, mostly flagpole antennas. There is a large and active ham radio club here but they have no clubhouse or equipment. They meet in one of the recreation centers. I have attended one meeting, where I asked the President who I might talk to about a flagpole antenna. He said, ask almost any member; almost all of them have one. I've been going through health problems that restrict my mobility so I haven't been going to meetings. I get on HF occasionally by having a friend set up my Buddipole in the yard for short times. The Villages Amateur Radio Club has a web site and maintains a UHF repeater. Their web site also has advice on installing stealth antennas in the attic. Hope you enjoy The Villages. 73 Carl W4EIB
