In the past, there have been favorable recommendations on TOV for Scott's Garage Door Service and Ryan O'Cull Garage Door Repair. FORGET THEM BOTH-- they don't even answer their phones OR return calls, and certainly don't do repairs (even though Scott repaired one for me in December). BUT I called Joe at Hometown Garage Door Solutions (352/230-0551 or 352/572-3071) and he showed up within an hour, corrected Scott's December repair, and did the two other repairs I needed quickly and at a fair price. I'll be calling him FIRST from now on!

My wife has about 20 wood plaques (about 9 x 12, walnut, I think) that she would like to donate to some woodworker who would use them. Any takers?

The closest place I can think of (other than my house ) is in Leesburg, in the mall behind Ichibahn Chinese Buffet. There is a bowling alley, arcade type of place in there and they had about 6 of the newer machines. I haven't been there in about a year.
