I have a Nikon Coolpix P520 camera. lens is attached 42X Zoom. It is considered a bridge camera because you are able to take pictures on auto or do some adjustments manually. I love the camera.

    Hi,

I looked at them some time ago, but could not get past the cost versus flooded. If I recall, AGM (different than Gel) were the newest and most efficient, supposedly delivering more cycles (longer life). If I recall the cost was almost twice as much as flooded. I did not feel I would get enough gain in range or life span to offset that cost, and no maintenance was not a critical requirement for me. It was also not clear if I would need a new charger with one of these solutions. I do not want to pretend to be an expert and mis-lead you, my research was minimal.

If it were me, I would call the guys at Battery Boys and get their thoughts and pricing. I may also post in the general forum out of curiosity. In the end it come down to cost versus range versus life span versus convenience?

Wish I could provide more information.

    Good luck,
    Alan

    hi
    YOu posted this last August
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have had two of them...

good things: avoid speed bumps, ride is more direct and smooth, can get to Sam's and Best Buy via cart, roomy, most have gel batteries (good for 7-8 years, some more), top speed 25 mph

Bad things: wider than most carts (getting over 441 bridge a little tight),
Street legal, must buy tags, insurance more extended, seat
belts and windshield wiper blades required and included with street legal,
Gel batteries cost approx $1500, some villagers suggest less
ventilation but we didn't think so, service requires pick up from Bill Bryan in Fruitland Park

So how long do you own your GEMs? Do the gel batteries truly last 7-8 years. Seems as they are maintenance free all you have to do is not run them down and charge.
Do you get more power than other carts? I'm think of getting the 7HP motor. Worth it?

Hi, We close on our house in Tamarind grove in Feb and I'm researching options for my garage floor. I just read a post of yours indicating that you installed vinyl floor tiles in your garage. The associated picture has since been deleted but I am curious as to if you are still happy with your results. Have you had any problem with the tiles lifting, did you use any special type of tile (I know they sell ones specifically for garage floors but they are rather expensive), did you prep the surface before? Any info, hints, suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for any info. Regards, Gregg Babcock gmbabcock@gmail.com
