Four and a Half Hour Trip to MCO

On Friday my wife & I left the Villages at 1130AM for a 3:15 Flt Got as far Leesburg (27) and was in the left lane.There was a flashing sign on far right about lane closures. Large number of cars exited at Leesburg, others like me proceeded south figuring it was a 1lane. Got within 4 miles of Mineola & traffic slowed to 3 or less MPH. It took 2 hours to get off the Turnpike in Mineola. FL Troopers were sending traffic off the highway.No detour signs & had to rely on GPS which took us through back roads with large trucks in heavy traffic. Finally reentered the Turnpike at RT 50 and proceeded to MCO arriving at 4:30. Missing our flight. Later checked online @ FL Turnpike site. No mention of this at all. Wondering what happened. They just forced traffic off TPK & detour routes posted. As best as I can figure it was construction related. Kudos to SW Airlines for a no charge ticket change. Got to our destination 6 hours late.
Drivers be warned!

Wanting to get some cost projections, price ranges,for replacing a roof on a manufactured home. The house is asphalt shingle and the lanai is white a fiberglass filled with foam. Not interested in hearing from contractors at this point. But villagers themselves. Recommendations ok but do not wanted to deal with contractors yet!
