Since we are not at our CYV, our neighbor called to let us know that during Sunday's (July 10th) electrical storm a number of homes lost access to their garage door, etc. We had a friend that lives in The Villages go check on ours and sure enough it didn't work, so he reset the ground faults and then the irrigation system box began to smoke, so he unplugged it. Did this happen to anyone else and if so what did you do to fix this issue.? I called the warranty office today and she said it sounds as though lightening struck our home and it would be an electrial problem and wouldn't be covered under warranty, so she said she would have R&A Ind. Electrician call us (still waiting for a call from them). I suppose I will need to call our home insurance co. to see if this is covered under our insurance. Does anyone out ther have any advice to share with regards to this matter?

Hi Dan,
We are doing really good, thank you for asking. And it sounds as though things are working out for you and Floss, congratulations.
Speaking for Lou here, the business is moving forward and he will be signing the papers tomorrow 6/30/11, so hopefully by labor day Corrado's will be owned and operated by another.
We would like to get back to the Villages in August for at least a week, but still not certain of that, so, we are not make arrangements just yet. So fingers crossed all will be settled and we can get back to TV, if not August, then sometime after September. Take care and keep us posted on your condo, etc. Stay tuned!!

I hope you guys are doing well. Hopefully the offer for the business is moving forward, Lou.
We accepted an offer on our house last week. We are going back in forth on inspection items they want us to resolve and if all goes well, we'll move to P&S this week with a close date of 7/29. Floss will be retiring from the NPD on 7/28 and our 34th anniversary is on 7/30, so the timing is, so far, falling in to place. Our condo won't be ready until late August or early September, so we'll spend some time in TV celebrating the next chapter in our life....together. The benefit of owning a second home, I suppose.
I'll keep you update...
