09-01-2016 04:21 PMPointerIs anyone watching the Weather channel? Looks like we may get hit by some of this storm. Can't hurt to be prepared. Make sure all phones are fully charged with power outages likely and prepare to be without power for three days. Hummm that means three bottles of wine. no Ice needed. Oh yeah and batteries for light.

06-02-2016 03:57 PMPointerDoes anyone have any experience with a UV air purifier on the air conditioning system. It's being recommended to me as I have the start of mold, "very little but it's a matter of time". The one that Sun Cool is recommending is "Guardian Air" and comes with a hefty price of just $999. I've been looking on the internet and not finding much. Fairly new technology I'm guessing. Hoping someone can help me learn.

05-24-2015 06:35 PMPointerDeans worker is very patriotic.
I had the pleasure of chatting with my lawn care guy from Deans who was telling me that he was so afraid of breaking the little flags that people put out on the lawns with his hose that he takes them out and then puts them all back. I'm sure this adds to his work load and he does it all with good humor. Needless to say, I'm very impressed. -
05-16-2015 11:12 PMPointerToday i had a wonderful experience at Publix that I thought I might share. I was looking at some take out chicken and a man was waiting for me to make my choice because there was one container left of the one he wanted, but he didn't want to take it until I had made my choice. He was hoping it would still be there. I told him that was so sweet. A little thing maybe but sure made me smile. We both left happy. How many times a day do we encounter those acts of civility and kindness and go on our way without realizing the importance of those acts. I love smiling at people and living here.

01-17-2015 01:35 PMPointerI just had my front and interior yard landscaped by All American Kwick Kerb (352-266-4539) and couldn't be happier. I absolutely love the finished project and loved working with them. Jim and Troy were inspiring and fun to design with. They installed drip lines, raised sprinkler heads, used and moved many of my existing plants, including a small tree to get the best overall effect within my budget.
I loved the way they worked together, very professional and frankly happy to be here and with each other. Always left the place in good shape at the end of each day.
Now I stand out there smiling and taking all the compliments, and there are a lot, but I have to give total credit to them. I never could have come up with this on my own and it is so much better then even what I pictured the finished result would be. Oh and they were less then other quotes I had gotten.
Frankly this was such a good experience that I miss having them about. Give them a call, you won't be sorry. -
12-08-2014 08:32 AMPointerHi everyone, I hope this link works of the USAF band playing at the Smithsonian museum. Sure to put you in the spirit of Christmas and reminded me how proud we can be of our young men and women.

12-07-2014 08:56 PMPointerFYI, tonight when I went to Publix in Colony I noticed police lights in the parking lot down by Bealls. The person who helped me put the bags into my car told me that they'd been ticketing people all night for parking in front of the stores. "One person even ripped up the ticket" when they found it on their car. Yikes! Then sure enough as I was leaving the police car was patrolling. Be careful where you park if you don't want a ticket.

09-25-2014 09:17 PMPointerKilled my first black widow spider today, while waiting for exterminator to call me back. She was in my garage and the egg sacks that still need to be gotten rid of, but at least I know she won't be moving to where I can't find her. I feel badly as I like spiders but that's to scary for me and I need my beauty sleep.

08-15-2014 09:25 PMPointerHow much do people pay/charge for dog sitting? A friend wants me to watch her two pups and wants to pay me and I have no idea what the going rate is. Any feedback would be most helpful. Thanks
