Default Pool room ethic and how to caulk pool cue

For some that may not know and not for know it alls

Posting this so may help keep our billiard tables in better condition. Don’t be caulk grinder, it only wears out caulk faster, creating dust cloud and filling table full of caulk dust making table and balls dirty. One reasons can’t draw or follow on dirty table. Also reduces ball skid.

So, if wondering why some pool tables in villages are dirty and rail embedded with caulk we maybe the problem? Don’t be caulk grinder over table or rails. Or place caulk upside down on table, that’s just making table dirty and wearing out caulk faster by grinding into tables.

Here what 6 month old caulk looks like when properly caulked cue. And yes I buy my own caulk. Notice there no tunnel bored into caulk.

No doubt caulk would really slow down ball roll too

Gently chalk up. A little goes a long way.

No I like caulk cause most are caulking the tables. Just look at chalk on tables and especially ones that grind over the tables and then set chalk inside down on table caulking it in… then there the one s that stand around in road when other players on table beside them. Take seat after miss. Then, there ones that leave racked balls on spot when done, then want to complain when can’t get tight rack.

Deleted my own post. It was hilarious, but not worth another mystery trip to the penalty box.

" Topspinmo " Here is some advice, again I am only here to " Offer Help " & a " Suggestion " or Two.

The very idea of using " Caulk " on a Pool Cue Stick will actually Ruin the Tip. My " Advice or Suggestion " is Very, Simple & Easy, here goes:

Use " Chalk " 100% of the time an Excellent Grade available on " Amazon " here is the information.

" Amazon Choice " .... GoSports Premium Cue Chalk, 12 Pack $ 7.99, available in ( 4 ) Colors, " Black ", " Blue ", " Green " & " Red ". Free Delivery for Premium Members. I hope this helps, Just remember to use " Chalk " Not .... " Caulk ".

Once again I only offer Advice & Help with Contact(s).

Master Billiard Chalk has been the most used brand for at least the past 60 years or so. Now Predator is selling there own chalk, but I don't think it will gain much popularity. To me, the biggest problem with the rec centers is that the employees don't seem to understand that chalk needs to be replaced when about half of a cube is gone. At less than a dollar per cube, The Villages can well afford to replace the chalk when needed.

Budget is tight, after the Pickle Ball purchase.

IMO The problem the players grinding chalk over the table (I Spelled it right ) I win the prize) that’s why hole drilled into chalk and chunks break off onto table. Why have to be vacuumed and brushed. But, most just like to complain about the problem they created.
