Coachk not on medicare, not on SS, still working and on corp plan.

Maybe you understood a marketing generalization with some FUD?
What are you paying per month for your company insurance? Just wondering.

biker1 You gave an anecdotal story about an employer insurance and I replied. At no point did I say my experience was typical. The thread topic was the $90 refund.

I stopped working at 65. Was waiting for my medicare to kick in.

My current plan actually kicks $45 back every month, so it's the $208-45 or whatever the premium is.

But most Advantage plans don't kick anything back and you pay in the full amount, every month.
Every medicare enrollee pays the Medicare Part B premium whether they are on traditional or medicare advantage.

In other words, we will not get $5000. Thank you for the clarification.

Cost was not the only factor. Dental, vision and the wellness benefits were important to us.

We don't need a lecture from people on regular Medicare about how we shouldn't like our ma plans. The vast majority of people we know on a ma plans are happy with them.
And some people we know have major medical issues. We're well aware of the restrictions and copays.

But for us, we don't pay near what Medicare and a suupplement costs until we need it. With medicare you pay up front weather you use it or not. We just pay as we need it. Our yearly out of pocket is $2900, which is very managable for us.

We've been happy with our choice. Medicare is not a one size fits all.
Yes. Dental coverage is great. My advantage plan pays up to $4,000. My dentist is excellent. If you have underlying health conditions, you may want to stick with traditional medicare because getting referrals with an HMO take time and are frustrating.

biker1 ...or you are paying an IRMAA surcharge.

The interests of insurance companies to maximize profits supersedes their focus on actually ensuring seniors and people with disabilities get health care
I disagree with this statement.
