Maybe they'll flip him for a badly needed RB - or try to convert him to a RB.

Or - maybe they are trying to regain the back page of the Daily News from the Super Bowl Champion, NY Giants.

Sanchez + Tebow < Eli

Maybe so, but as things stand now, he's a pretty high-priced backup QB.

Default Tebow

JETS as you said paid $2.5 Mil. His 2012 salary is $1.1 or $1.2 mil and he has another two more years for about the same. That's cheapo big time.
All I think Mr Ryan will remind his team that Tebow
was 7-4, beat the JETS with a 95 yard drive ( which totally humilated the defence and knocked them out of the playoffs)

They gave up a 4 and 7 and got a 7 back next year. Not too much.

On ESPN they showed his top 10 plays of the season and number one was the score against the JETS. (There was holding in the end zone on the play but that's my biased view)

All will be fine. I'll find the thread in about 6 months to remind you...

I'm a friend of the JETS on Facebook and that non official poll liked the move slightly better than 2 to 1.

I luv Joe Willie but I think he's hit the sauce again....

Jay Leno poked fun at the deal last night. They showed Tebow's locker being cleaned out, and leaving the building were "The Last Supper" painting, and religious statues, and .......... you get the picture.

Maybe the Jets will win the games that count now. Say what you want but Tebow wins, Sanchez does not.

Tebow deserves better than playing in New York.

I think Woody Johnson wants to sell more tickets. They still have a lot of PSLs that remain unsold. Even after their price cuts the PSLs are insanely expensive. Tebow is a pretty popular guy with a large following. He'll probably put some butts in the seats.
I like Tebow and think his biggest value will be putting pressure on Sanchez. Mark will have to perform better now. When he has a bad game now he'll be hearing a thundering TEBOW, TEBOW, TEBOW from the stands. I don't think Ryan will bench Sanchez for a couple of bad games but who knows, the pressure will be there.
As for Tebow running the Wildcat, maybe it'll work, maybe not. To my knowledge Tebow has never run the 'cat in his life. In Denver he ran the spread option and did it well. He could run it, pitch it or pass it. When it's run well it's tough to defend. The Wildcat is pretty much a single wing offense. They snap the ball to a running back and he takes off following his blocking back. It's actually more complex than that with the man in motion and different looks but it's not nearly as effective as it was a few years ago when Miami made N.E. look like a high school team the first time they played. The second game the N.E. defense had time to prepare and they and no problem at all defending the Wildcat.
It will be interesting. I wonder if the Jets would have been interested in Tebow if they'd kept Brad Smith.

Any half way decent QB's available in the 4th round that Denver can draft to be their backup to Manning?

Tebow 1st season 1- 1 in the playoffs in 11 games
Sanchez 1st two seasons 4-2 in the playoffs including two championship games.

Yeah, Sanchez didn't have a great season but he was not the only cause of the offencive debacle in 2011. At least the last year's offensive cord. is now gone...

Anyway, the Sanchez / Tebow combination can be very positive.

I haven't given up yet on the JET front office or their coaching staff.

I beleive Tebow is an upgrade to B Smith.

There is a world of things the JETS can do with him.

Call it wild cat, single wing , H back lot's of options for a defence has to prepare for. Al I care about is that they don't get him killed....

Ryan will not be phased by shouts from the stands.

If Tebow gets the starting job, then the JETS are better for it cause I doubt that anyone else on the roster as of the day of the trade would have beat out Sanchez.
