NFL Playoff game to be streamed!
I am watching the Bills/Dolphins game and they announced that next Saturday, an NFL playoff game will not be on network television but instead will be streamed.
If you want to watch it you will have to subscribe to Peacock. I think this is the first time that a playoff game will not be on network television. If streaming NFL postseason games catches on, I can see the Super Bowl being streamed in a few years. Last edited by Rainger99; 01-12-2024 at 07:17 AM. |

For these streamed games, the local markets for each team still will offer the games on NBC. So as long as you can find a way to access NBC Miami, you can still watch the game. Most people using IPTV systems will be able to get that channel.

EDIT: Channel guides for Miami do not have this game listed but earlier articles about the Peacock deal indicate that the above is correct. Maybe the channel guides will be updated now that the teams are known.

If that is true, it is good news! Should be a good game! Hope it is available for free.

But the NFL has a policy that games on streaming services or cable channels also be televised on a “free TV” station in the home markets. That’s why NBC-6 can carry the Dolphins-Chiefs game in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties on Saturday.
Does anyone know how to get NBC 6 if you don’t live in the viewing area?? It seems that Peacock paid a lot of money for the right to stream so I would expect that NBC will make it difficult to get around the paywall. |

This may be a blessing for Dolphin fans. I would expect a blowout by KC playing at home with freezing temps.
KC had rested key players and Miami has so many injuries. Miami typically plays poorly in nasty weather. I’d be shocked if it’s even a close game. Prediction. KC 45 Miami 10. |

You can subscribe to an IPTV service to get local channels for almost every US market if you have Roku or a Firestick for a fee. Some of these services do offer a 24 hour free trial even. |

1. Ensure that the TV and laptop are both Wi-Fi enabled. 2. Navigate to Settings > System > Display on your laptop. 3. Click Connect to a wireless display underneath the Multiple displays header. 4. Click on your TV when it appears in the list to connect your laptop. and Viola! |

So much for the 7 day free trial!
NBC’s streaming service will give you access to several games, including tonight’s contest and all upcoming Sunday night matchups. You can get a seven-day free trial, followed by a $6 or $12 monthly charge (The free version of Peacock does not include live sports.) |
