Default Snow balls

Such a shame to watch fans at these football games throwing snowballs at the players.

it's not an excuse, but it's certainly a different world we live in today...

I remember some promotions in the 90's where "fans" threw baseballs and miniature bats at the players. Philadelphia "fans" have even thrown double D batteries at a player.

Better snow balls than beer cans.

Wonder if there is a rule that goes into effect if snowball impacts a play

Throwing snowballs at NFL games is nothing new.

As a Vikings fan, I recall a certain NFC Championship game, where a liquor bottle was thrown at an official that missed a pass interference call. As stated earlier, it's nothing new...

Being a New York Giants fan, I never get to throw snowballs due to the fact that most snowstorms occurr during the postseason UGGH!

Bingo. I was there, Dallas vs. Minnesota, December 1975 playoff game in rickety old Metropolitan Stadium. With under a minute to play Roger Staubach wound up at midfield on fourth-and-16, completing at TD pass that knocked the Vikings out of the playoffs. The orginal "Hail Mary" pass.

Looked like obvious pass interference on Dallas' part but it was not called by Armin Terzian, the referee. As a result he was hit in the forehead with an empty whiskey bottle flung from the bleachers, lacerating his forehead pretty good and knocking him down. That incident got a lot of play in the weeks following. What WASN'T shown however was the fact that the ground around Terzian was littered with whiskey bottles, glasses and other sundry items.

Nothing new under the Sun.

Classless fans, but they are not only in the cold stadiums. Back in the day, the Raiders used to play in the Oakland/Alameda County stadium. That place was a run down hell-hole even back in the 80's. Their fans used to throw D-cell batteries at the players in the end zones. Heck...they even threw batteries at the Oakland players sometimes!

I hated those Bills fans throwing them at my beloved Mahomes. What if they hurt the future GOAT's arm.
