Default Thoughts re NFL Championship etc

Well, I'd guess that the vast majority of us feel that the past 6 champ games were fantastic, despite who eventually won. A few of my 'takes'.

I'm typically for the underdog if I don't have a favorite.
In the end the two underdogs will play the SB this year. Good.
Bad for me, Brady and the Bucs couldn't pull it in with all the injuries etc. But they made the run.
I was happy to see that Green Bay and KC lost, again the underdog matter. IMO both teams and their Qbacks came in with pompous expectations and their second half performances paid the price.
Should be a good SB with two healthy teams headed by exciting Qbacks. Just hope the game is as great as the ones leading up to it.

I have two opinions re Tom Brady. One, I hope he decides to play another year. Two, I hope that he retires. the first, as a fan, the second as a person. He has little to prove now. He deserves to have a wonderful private life, aka Michael Jordan et al. But with his competitive juices flowing, it may be tough for him to have an outlet to soak that up. No doubt his wife and kids pressure him to hang up the cleats. And the eventual shape of the TB team talent as well. I do believe that he will retire.

Happy LA and Stafford won. I’m a Green Bay fan but happy to see he escaped the Detroit jail. Too bad Barry Sanders was unable to.

I was shocked at some of the things KC did.

At the end of the first half how did they not throw the pass into the end zone? Threw away at least 3 points.

Last drive in regulation they wasted much to much time never really trying to get a quick touchdown. Was OK to a point but Cinci was out of time outs and KC played it way too cute. Could you imagine if that field goal was no good. Reid might have been out of a job.

I too was happy to Stafford win, but now the Rams remind me too much of the Yankee's and bought the best team they could instead of developing one like Cincinnati did. I am an NFC fan but I'll be pulling for Cinci....

I can't wait for the Super Bowl to see the half time entertainment.
Probably will look like some Zombie dance I seen on National Geographic once.

Go Begels, you deserve it after 30 some years

Good coach at getting team to playoffs but somehow cannot finish.

Is there really a Super Bowl without the Patriots playing? It’s been many years since a watchable half time show took place. Even the commercials have gone way downhill the last few years. Whatever happened to the good old Miller Light commercials? I’ll be rooting for Cincinnati by default.

I used to love football, but not a priority anymore.

Well it’s been a long wait, but as a Bengals fan, I can hardly believe they are in the SB. Wasn’t expecting too much this year but hopeful for next. Should be a good final.

You just described Tampa with that Yankees analogy. They will surely go back to being the Succaneers. Maybe they will get Famous Jameis Winston back

From that last set of plays in the first half, to the end of the game, I thought Mahomes was “playing to lose”. Maybe he had bet against KC as they were the favorite. Probably not, but some of those plays seemed pretty amateurish.

As someone who suffered through 40 years of Lions football I was happy to see Stafford get the opportunity to show how far he could take a good team. Unlike the Yankees, the Rams didn't really buy a team because they had more money to spend than other teams like the Yankees. They mortgaged their future to play the SB in their home stadium. The Bengals did it by losing and having the opportunity to get a franchise QB in the draft. In the end, the Lions may have a good rebuilding opportunity with the draft choices they received for Stafford. But as they've done in the past, they'll screw it up.
