Looks more like a cheese-grater than a ship

We were on it last year and found it to be a very well run ship that despite it size lines were a minimum

Horses for courses.
Would be a total nightmare for me to be cooped up with all those people. Be like paying to go to prison! |

short Bahama cruises are full of Entry Level Cruisers, that don’t adhere to the Dress Attire.. purple swimsuits in the MDR will be the entertainment for the evening ( I will pay a quarter more and sail with my people)

How many lifeboats does this ship have? I can't imagine how long it would take to abandon ship if necessary although I am certain there are laws, rules and regulations that govern safety standards and the ship meets them. It just looks kind of scary to me due to the large number of passengers it carries. I hope no one yells FIRE!!! in the wrong place at the right time and hundreds of people try to crowd through a single door.

I like the smaller ships because there's more a sense of intimacy, less of a sense of a floating shopping mall during the x-mas rush. That also means less stress on the cook staff which results in better quality food. It's also quicker on and off the ship when it's smaller, so you have more time to spend wherever it is your ship is sailing. |

There is an advantage to bigger ships, more stuff to do. RCCL is a bit too large for us at 6000 plus passengers but we do like the larger Princess ships of just under 4000.

The Royal Caribbean Oasis class ships basically shut down things at 9pm. It's like the Villages on a boat. If I'm paying for a vacation, I like some options that extend well past midnight like on Carnival cruise ships.
