Default Pickleball Coaching 1-1

Hello - a couple of years ago, I joined the Volunteer mentor PB Programme, but haven't played much since. I now want some 1-1 coaching, drills, etc. Any recommendations please for coaches in TV?
Thanks

Sure thing: 2 Places where the regular players are more than happy to help & encourage new players & experienced players to " Improve " . They are real sports !

1) Lake Miona ... Mornings especially now with the weather. M thru F
2) Burnsed ... Mornings M W F & Sat.

Check-Out Saddlebrook as well

The Players are really Happy Go Lucky, with Unlimited Patience. Good Luck & Enjoy

Howdy - are you sure about those suggestions? I went to Burnsed last fall on one of the days you mentioned. It seemed like an advanced group and did not welcome those newer to the game. Maybe things have changed. I know there is a 1-1 trainer who works at the complex in the community at the corner of 466 and Rolling Hills but I can not remember her name. Might can find though some google help!

LOL. Lake Miona and Burnsed are probably the two most UNwelcoming open play parks in TV.

I clipped an ad from the newspaper recently. The text:

picklepongdeb@gmail.com

Apparently, she has Youtube videos. Use the first part of that email address to source

Deb Harrison is great.

Coaching for pay is not permitted on the Villages courts so several coaches user the new facilities at Pickle N' Poker.

Join the Pickleball Fun - Oxford Downs in Summerfield, FL

Joey Bandes is there; (208) 800-1209

We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our new Head Pickleball Professional, Joey Brandes! Joey brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to our club.

John Sperling is a Sr Pro also at that facility.

That’s been known for at least 10 years. Maybe they moved to Rohan where they can take over the own pod?

Deb Harrison's is " Old School " & Likely has won more Tournaments here in The Villages then anyone. I can remember when Deb Harrison & Bill Freeman teamed up they were a joy to watch. Bill moved away.

She is honestly a very nice person & a " Pro " I suggest you contact her.

PS: She is also a " Pro " at Ping Pong.

So that you have choices here’s another local teaching pro that’s not been mentioned and his name is Ralph Jones, you can contact him at (352) 445-5933. He teaches in Lady Lake at the courts by the library.
Personally I take regular lessons from Deb Harrison. Different pros have different teaching styles and you will develop faster if you find someone that you gel with. Deb works with what you already have and helps you change some things and of course help you improve everything but she won’t try to change everything about you and rebuild you from the ground up unless that’s what you want.

You should look at pickleballcommunity.com they have listing for clinics and activities up to the 4.0 level. If you really want private lessons Deb Harrison is good and Matty Kline is good. I have worked with both.

Yes, some of the Miona crowd has moved to Rohan. The Burnsed bunch is still there as far as I know.

Wow. Haven't seen one of these in a while. Someone who tried to play advanced PB and was told they should seek out play at their level to ensure good pickleball for all. Then become angry and look for a way to get back.
