Yes they do. Gardeners get leprosy from working in the soil after an armadillo had passed through. Learned this from a wildlife academy class in TV

They’ll do lots of damage to your lawn in a hurry. They’re almost blind and they tear up your lawn searching for grubs. You’d better hope….

— They never find your yard
— You don’t have grubs
— They’ll keep on going to your
neighbor’s lawn.

Yes they do carry leprosy ….. and will tear up a beautiful lawn overnight !

Yep, 9-banded armadillo - I’ve been in Florida since ‘64, saw them all over the citrus groves. Decent eatin’ but best with BBQ sauce!
