Default Blue Herons building a nest.

Watched as this pair of Blue Herons built their nest by Cane Garden. One would bring in a stick or branch and the other would weave it into a nest. This went on for days.

Agreed .... great shot! But thinking that looks like a really flimsy branch for such a large bird to build a nest. One good gust of wind and it could be gone.

They are VERY large birds and I never noticed their thighs before. You are adding to all of our knowledge in such a wonderful way. Thank you again.
