Default Crane/Heron (?) at Turtle Mound

Saw this bird struggling to eat a rather large fish. I was supposed to be playing golf

Great picture, Sandra. It looks dragony. It is so dark.

I completely understand about "supposed to be playing golf". One day I was lucky enough to witness two sand cranes in what I imagine was a courtship ritual. Never saw such carrying on with the jumping up and down, shaking the tail feathers and basically whooping it up. I just stood there in amazement while everyone else was concerned about their shot!
