Default Snadhill Cranes w/ youngsters>

.
.While golfing on Sweetgum Golf course in The Villages Monday 3/29, ran into several families of Sandhill Cranes.

This one had two quite young little ones. I was about 3' from the Dad shooting this as he was slowly walking up to me, protecting his family.

Never get tired of watching them after all these years playing various courses now. They definitely seem to have no fear, that's for sure. I've had them scratching for insects ON the green and not leave when we approached.... big as you please, "I was here first" they seem to say.... LOL !

i've seen a lot of them hanging out on the golf course that's on 466a. if you eat in the Wendy's parking lot, facing the courses,(lol) you'd be able to see them. the wildlife is one of the best 'amenities' we have
