This squirrel was after the Osprey's eggs!!!!! Look closely. I saw the action but didn't think I caught anything. I saw the squirrel run up the tree and then he went behind the nest. Next thing I saw was the Osprey in the nest jump straight up in the air. I knew the squirrel had entered the nest for the eggs and the Osprey had jumped in order to attack from above but I only got what would look like a crappy pic (photo #1) of an Osprey landing in its nest. Or so I thought. Look closely and you will see a squirrel's tail that belongs to a squirrel that is about to get its butt kicked!!!!!!! Now look at photo #2: This is where dad returns to join the fight.

Never saw him again. May have been invited to dinner. One thing certain: he did not remain alive and in nest. Osprey is on eggs as late as yesterday.
