Default Painted Buntings

Mom and Pop! So tiny! They're eating out of a shower head that's 4.5 inches in diameter..

Several years ago I was in my bedroom and saw something very brightly colored on our garden wall around the patio. It was a painted bunting, it came one morning and then visited the next morning and that was the first and last time I saw a Bunting, but what an incredible sight. Unforgettable.

Smile Painted Buntings -- One of my Favorite Birds!

I am so envious. Lucky you!
I wish they had my address. My feeder is always full and ready!

Default Painted buntings

I saw them last year at Sharon Wiechen once with the Villages Birders and then I went back in the morning. With some time and patience I saw them three times and pointed one out to a man trying to see one. Without a feeder it's usally a pretty short sighting. They are beautiful.

Great photo! What shutter speed did you use? How did you get that perfect depth of field? Thanks for sharing.
