Default Picture of me and my mother at my U of MN Law Graduation May 1989.

The Villages Florida

I had a lot more hair then as my 224 613 Project has been quite stressful and costly. This is me on the Quad at the University of Minnesota after my May 1989 Graduation ceremony at the University of Minnesota Law School.

This was a few weeks before I headed to the American Association of Law Libraries convention in Reno, Nevada around July of 1989 where I was introduced by a mentor as the cataloger of all the computer files on WESTLAW as of a certain date. This was for a national project working in conjunction with the State University of New York at Buffalo to catalog LEXIS. I walked around Reno with my memories of 1970 through 1983 which included the heavy media covered murder investigation, trials, appeals, etc. of the 2-24-1976 killing of Michelle Mitchell. 2-24 is also my birthday. The case looks like it was finally solved in 2014 or even 2015. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gypsy_Hill_killings

We have been here in the Villages since 2005 moving from Palm Harbor, Florida.

Nice picture, Tal.

I remember when LEXIS/NEXIS came out. What a difference that made for research. I can only imagine how much work that was to set up.
