Default Sand Hill Crane teaching moment`

An adult Sand Hill Crane seems to be showing the colt how to use it's wings.

LOVE sandhills. We have a bird feeder our front, and all the birds love it. Since install about 5 years ago, it's been a stop for pairs of Sandhills. Last couple years we have "Bonnie & Clyde". They seem to come to graze sometimes 3 times per day. So tame, I can get about 2' away - they know the hand that feeds them... not literally.

Once they were doing what seemed to be a mating dance right on own lawn - jumping and flapping and squawking for about 10 minutes - a great display. I took a video, att is a pic.

Papa is stylin’, mama is prompting the kids. Talk about stereotyping.
