OP what was the actual size of this homemade costumed resident. Hoping he is very enlarged. Hate spiders and snakes. At least one can see a gator

I wonder what the golf cart driver and her(?) passenger thought was going on in this instant?

Yellow garden orb web spider... we had these by the dozens in our back yard. We used to catch them (I don't remember why) and drop them in a hole we dug in our sandbox (we later let them go). Also picked them up with our fingers by their soft backs.

No need to comment by we all know who.

Awesome harmless writer spider, never understood why people fear them, they catch the bad bugs and leave humans alone. Be fearful of humans not the little bug..

Yeah love spiders too. Only ones I won't play with are brown recluse and black widows. I welcome the rest.

I get the caption on the really cool photo but we know spiders do not "watch" humans in that sense. Just waitin' for a meal to fall in it's web is all.

Same here! My grandmother told me many years ago that killing a spider in the home is bad luck. I've always taken that to heart, and every time I see one in the house, I remove it to run free again outside. I've probably removed the same one many times, but they don't have name tags, so who knows?

Are you sure it wasn't watching the photographer? Great picture.
