A Red-Shouldered hawk maybe?

Red-shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus)

Take a look at the third pic. Seems to be just like your guy! Nice pic by the way.

Yes, it is a red-shouldered hawk. Beautiful photo. Were you around water or tall woods? That is where they are commonly found according to Cornell Red-shouldered Hawk, Life History, All About Birds - Cornell Lab of Ornithology .
