Club Car Cart's Value
 

I've done some shopping and I was surprised to learn that an Club Car Onward 2p & 4p was less expensive then the Yamaha in the villages. It's American made in Ga and has lots of options. I would recommend checking it out. Has anyone else found that to be true?

Yes, club car is marginally less expensive, but drive both and consider your carting experience over many years. We have both a club car and a Yamaha. Hands down, I prefer driving the Yamaha and my wife loves the club car. To each his/her own.

That's because the dealers in TV take advantage of local residents, in every way they can.

ClubCar is far superior to Yamaha. Call 10 golf course PGA Professionals and they'll all tell you the exact same thing. Hardly any private golf course in America, opts for the Yamaha option.

ClubCar is more expensive than Yamaha or EZGo, everywhere in the world, except perhaps ... TV. They're vastly superior to Yamaha carts. The only place anyone buys Yamaha Golf Carts, is in TV .... because the Morse family cut a deal with Yamaha, many years ago. Somewhere approaching 75% of gasoline driven, Yamaha Golf Cart production, goes to TV. No one else wants them.

Comparing Yamaha to ClubCar, is like comparing a Hyundai to a Cadillac.

Your post means nothing unless you tell us WHY they are "vastly superior" to Yamaha...

Otherwise, it just your opinion...

Club Cars have to be the LOUDEST carts on the road. My golf course up north has used them for the past couple of years. You can hear one coming several holes away. If you like LOUD, get a Club Car.

I call BS on that. Own both and know from first hand experience over 9+ years. Yamaha is way more reliable, has more room and is way more comfortable for a tall person, is significantly quieter, handles significantly better, takes bumps way better, and has a ton of aftermarket accessories available. Our Club Car does have one advantage, the really loud engine has better acceleration and torque. That being said, my wife, who is only 5’1” tall, loves her CC, she can’t reach the gas pedal on the Yamaha. On the other hand, when I drive the CC, my knees are cramped and I have to duck to see below the roof.

Correct. Most clubs use electric carts and opt to use Club Cars.

True, but most golf courses use electric carts.

The high end hoity toity courses that lease the newest technology might have electric carts, but not everywhere. Played Southampton CC in western Massachusetts today and drove a 20 year old carbureted Yamaha that ran like a clock. Beautiful course and great deal, midweek senior green fee of $35 with a cart. That being said, I did have to choke the cart to get it running on the first hole, but that happens before the cart warms up and the temperature is in the low 40’s.

While we are at it I like Hyundai too
 

I gave my Mercedes to one of the kids and bought a Hyundai which I love. I wouldn’t take a Cadillac if you gave it to me for free.
