Someone is using my name Gracie Girl on another forum.
 

Someone just sent me a message and said that I was being impersonated on another board (Topix). When I followed the link he sent I read a lot from people who obviously do not like me at all and some who hate me and I am so very hurt.


I am so sorry that well. I just don't know what to say.


I have so enjoyed this board, but to read what some say about my Helene is too much.


To those of you who know I love you. I'll be signing off here. You know where to find me and how to contact me.


And as for my impersonator. I know only one person from this board from Birmingham. You know who you are too.

Contact the Administrator of that other board and express your concerns. Most likely they will ban the poster from their board.
No reason for you to leave TOTV.

Gracie, I've seen posts by you....or thought was you....on the villages news. I haven't looked lately, but never saw anything nasty printed. Anyone here on TOTV that knows you...know that you don't post anything hurtful or nasty. I am so sorry if anyone is posting negative comments about Helene. Please don't leave TOTV. This forum would never be the same without Graciegirl. We that know you, love you!

Please reconsider and as others have said, don't let them win. If anything, ignore the other board as you can't control what goes on there, but your screen name here can't be used again. I too enjoy your posts and would hate to see you leave.

Please don't leave TOTV. I enjoy your posts so much. Many people write hurtful things on boards where you don't have to state your name. I know that it is very hard to do,but you need to ignore them. Stay strong and know that MANY, MANY people on TOTV LOVE Gracie, Sweetie, and Helene. Please stay with TOTV.

Well Gracie I don't post much here but I understand your hurt. Forums become negative places when users can hide behind a screen name. Years ago we told our kids that instant messenger was bad for that reason, now it seems that hiding behind screen names does it again.

Haven't read Topix nor will I ever. Sorry people are still people, and nobody needs the negatives from these actions.

It is not pleasant when reading or hearing negative commentary even from inconseqential sources. The majority of us know differently.

Anybody who has met you and has EVER met Helene knows how great you are and how PERFECT Helene is. I know you are a strong person, but nothing hurts worse than someone taking after your child. I am so sorry. I hope you won't leave. You bring so much to the forum.

And sweet Helene. How could anybody say anything against her. Only a lowlife would do that... someone not worth your countenance.

2. Not post a picture with your new screen name.

Gracie, don't let the bad guys win! If someone is small enough to even mention Helene in the remotest negative light, they deserve to be hung by their short hairs for a very, very long time. If you leave here because of this slob and those who enjoy being negative, then you cheat yourself and those of us here who love you (and even those who don't).

Wow don't let people bully you. The worst type of bully's are those that hide behind forums like TOTV. I am new to The Villages and to TOTV and enjoy your comments and insight to many issues. RISE above these cowards and stay connected.

Gracie I don't know you yet but please don't leave. Many, many of us really enjoy your post. I'd like to thank you for all the helpful things you have done for this forum. Like Redwitch said if you leave they win.

I accidently ran across this topix site about a year ago. I too was angry at how they could talk about you and your daughter in such a mean spirited manner. Honestly, someone has to be mentally unstable to say such hateful things about a handicapped child. These people are of low mentality and most likely jealous of you. You are not the only one they speak so nasty about. Its a awful forum made up of haters.

Please know many people on the TOTV love you and ignore the haters. I am so sorry you found out about that sleazy forum. I was hoping you would never know it existed.

Don't let the bad guys win by running away. Report the imposter to the other website and stay true to yourself here. Some people are just so low they have to attack someone who is not in the gutter with them.

I just went on this site. It Appears as though people read this forum for entertainment and the frequent posters are like characters, or celebs. We visit this forum for a different reason, one they on the other forum do not have in common with us. They do not know Gracie, so therefore their posts really don't have any merit. Some people are just mean. What goes around comes around....... They couldn't post here for long... They would be banned.

This has really made me angry . For someone to spend time and effort to downgrade you and Helene does not make since . I would suggest that as others have noted that the person be reported to the other blog administrator to see if it can stop.

I think your input to this blog is priceless and I do not want it to fade away. Please reconsider and stay with us we will support you as we go forward.

Your humor, knowledge & optimism are irreplaceable. Don't let the bullies win. You are the most loved person on this site & I'm sure deep down you know that.

Please, Gracie, i know you are hurting but please, don't give in to the bullies. Let them see that you are true to yourself and stand in your own knowing. This strength is the only thing that ever strikes back at these kind of jealous and ignorant individuals. That entire forum seems made up of angry, petty people who hate the villages.

Kathy and I were taken back when we read the post about your possibility of signing off TOTV due to one or more "bad apples" in the basket. Your not being here would be a terrible disservice to the hundreds (thousands?) of people who read your everyday thoughtful and constructive posts/replies.

You are our "fix." You have no idea how many people you have guided positively about retirement life in The Villages.

Take a couple of days off, if you feel you should, but come roaring back el pronto! The troops need General Gracie !!

I'm so sorry to hear about the mean people who are saying hurtful things about you and your family. It is a sad state of affairs that some people can only feel good about themselves when they can make another person feel bad. Please know that so many on this board have such respect for you and those you love.

Gracie...you got me to post on here which should show your influence and not an anti feeling.

You were not the only one mentioned there...I was described in one post...not nicely, HOWEVER, not nearly as terribly as you. These are hate filled people on there with a very obvious slanted viewpoint on life.

Oh Gracie I read the damn thing and it is my opinion that this is all being done by some troll using different names! Not one of us would think theycould be talking about our Gracie! It wouldn't surprise me if it weren't kids! It was very distressing for me and I was praying that you would not even see it. Don't let them win! Just ignore! I don't think I closed my mouth since I read the first post from Gracie saying she was leaving and letting the bullies win. I can't believe people are so mean spirited to post such hurtful things about her family.. Gracie, you are stronger then them.. They must have a lot of the devil in them to have them make the effort to hurt such a wonderful lady.. People are just nuts.. you know that?? Just nuts.
