Nothing matters but the Jan. electors voting. They'll vote for Hillary before Trump if he's not playing ball. The founders added that to ensure only "one of their guys" ever got elected. Trump could get 99% of the popular vote and still not get elected if the electors refuse to vote for him.

They did it to keep the people from electing a candidate that wasn't part of the system. There was no way for the people to know back then what was going on. No 24 hr a day voting coverage. It'll be tough to cover over the disregard to the people wishes if Trump is for real and gets the popular vote.

Trump, who never even won a student council position is the best the Republican Party can put forward.
How many times have we been fooled by the others in their party they favored? How many lives were lost? How many lives were ruined? What are we leaving our grandchildren? Where did all those Christians and their values go?

Neither of the two political parties put forward a candidate that was of presidential timber. Worse yet voters left standing the most problematic four .

You will not get very many candidates with with military experience. The reason we went to Viet Nam and the Gulf was based on a lie. So now the ones that figured it out way back when avoided the draft and serving are now running.

I cannot see even the democrats to remain committed to a loser. I suspect, as in 2008 Clinton will for some obscure, or maybe no so obscure reason, will defer to another in the party.

That scenario is becoming the more likely outcome than her becoming the nominee.

That was when I Googled "how much does the government spend a day". They spend $10 billion a DAY! Bill Gates TOTAL worth is $75 billion. If you took everything from him, it would run the government for 7.5 days. Warren Buffet, 6 days. The Waltons? A mere 3.5 days a piece.

The government borrows HALF of what it spends! How long would we last if we were borrowing half of our daily expenses? We're being bled dry. The government is THE market in way too many areas.

Hey, I am glad your not judging...Not sure what zombie movie you were reminded of, but I don't see the present in that way. Interesting you brought up FDR. It got me thinking of today's pansy a$$ liberals and especially the snowflake liberal college students and how they would fare under an FDR. You know, the ones that scream bloody murder if they get served a latte that is 10 degrees too cool, that need "trigger warning" least they hear something that would upset them or "safe spaces" to go to for comfort from the rigors of college life.

Could you imagine the reaction these liberal snowflakes would have upon being told they could only have 3 gallons of gas for a week. Yes 3 gallons was all you got unless you were a politician or other important person. You also couldn't buy anything made of rubber especially tires. Food was also rationed especially meats, dairy and oils. Almost every family had a "victory garden" and I still remember my grandfather working in his well into the 1960's. It's a dirty shame the liberals have ruined the fabric of this country. Maybe someone can make it "great again", but I wonder...sad really.

Yours is a false narrative. If the government means tests my income to determine my social security eligibility, and it is determined that I am not eligible to receive said benefits owing to my income, then I would actually receive NOTHING, not the "more than you ever paid into it" that you claim.

At the current time, there is not means testing for Social Security benefits. At the current time, you will receive more than you paid into it.

At some future time - IF there was means testing - you would be right about not receiving your money back plus more. It would be like any other tax at that time - IF means testing ever comes about.
