Even Dr. Fauci and the secretary of HHS at the press conference were chuckling about that

Two Bills 03-13-2020 04:43 PM

With so many s******g themselves, it is amazing that there is any at all!!

dewilson58 03-13-2020 04:44 PM

And paper towels in case they run out of toilet paper.

:ohdear:

Regor 03-13-2020 04:48 PM

I was at Sams yesterday and seen this elderly couple (my age) with three 48 roll packs in their cart. These were the kind of rolls that are like 4 single rolls. That's like 576 rolls of TP! That is over a years supply! No I didn't buy any!

Fishers2tall 03-13-2020 04:51 PM

No poop tissue anywhere!

The crazy people buying up all the toilet paper is nationwide! Every store you go to in Indianapolis is completely sold out. I don’t get it. Diarrhea is not a symptom of the Corona virus infection! Went to Sams Club today and have never seen crowds like that ever. Far more than at Christmas. There are probably 15 cash register checkouts and each one had a line of at least 10 customers. It was insane.

dewilson58 03-13-2020 04:53 PM

Next week the Supply Chain with catch up with the craziness..

My Bride will not let me go to those places anymore.

billethkid 03-13-2020 05:15 PM

I was in Walmart around midnight and there were pallets, upon pallets and more pallets of toilet paper and paper towels.
As was said in another post when the reorder stocks arrive the buying will be slower as the TP paranoid use up their horde.

I have plenty of the Scott 1000, single ply toilet paper. Apparently, no one else uses single ply, but it is the only kind I ever buy. It's the best.

It’s actually worldwide. Some larger TP manufacturers are in China and the factories are temporarily closed allowing the employees to stay home. Almost impossible to find TP here in NY, not at supermarket or drug store or BJs or Costco, we also have empty shelves in Seattle. AND you have a difficult time finding TP in Italy or Japan. I will say the shortage is mostly due to hoarding but the supply is limited, so can’t be blamed all on hoarding.

Kenswing 03-13-2020 06:05 PM

What cracks me up is they're also cleaning out the bottled water. At least here in WA. at our local Costco. And of course there's near riots waiting for a rotisserie chicken.. lol

thelegges 03-13-2020 06:06 PM

Ya know who’s loving this the wealthy paper families in Appleton. The crazy hordes just put the next 3 generations through college

I don’t think I can hold it until next week :). I can’t wait until sanity prevails again.

Ecuadog 03-13-2020 06:18 PM

I want more toilet paper... and I want it now.

As an Airline pilot that travels the world for a living and one that owns a homes in WA, NY, FL, and Italy. I guess I am seeing things when I see empty shelves. Next time I won’t believe my lying eyes (which as of last FAA physical 3 months ago are still 20/20), I’ll just ask Mr. Wilson. My eyes may have been reprogrammed by the fake news media :)

DAVES 03-13-2020 06:27 PM

Sanity?

Do tell us how you get cases of toilet paper past airport security?
Would not do much for your reputation.

:MOJE_whot:Yes there are empty shelves in the USA. It's a result of over reaction, nothing to do with plants in China. There is plenty paper capacity in the USA.

:ho:

Too much information ...

What did you all do before pampers ? Gross but cloth diapers were not disposable.

:ho:

You missed his point.

Someone posted a concern about shortages here in the USA. Retiring said - actually, it's not just the USA - it's a worldwide shortage. And he explained why it's a shortage in China.

walterray1 03-13-2020 07:44 PM

With the run on toilet paper it is best to not let your subscription to The Daily Sun lapse.

skyking 03-13-2020 07:53 PM

Yep. Toilet paper. That's my first concern.

Chi-Town 03-13-2020 09:25 PM

Amazon is out. Ebay came through.

Northwoods 03-13-2020 09:35 PM

Some people are just selfish. When some people hoard things like toilet paper, disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizer, etc. other people have to go without. So I guess these people only care about themselves. Because few people buy 72 rolls of toilet paper or 10 canisters of disinfectant wipes or 10 bottles hand sanitizers at one time. But it's all about you. Many of you bristle at the thought of the government telling you what to do or dictating what you can buy (eg. NY ban on large soda's). Yet you do things like this that proves the point of people that want more governmental control.
Take a breath, people. Especially now that there is a pandemic. Be respectful and mindful of the fact that your neighbors and other people also need supplies.

Ebay? I thought that is where people sold used items. Are you actually buying used .... Oh, never mind.

Velvet 03-13-2020 11:59 PM

Adults can also use washable reusable diapers as wipes.

In days of old,
when Knights were bold,
and tissue was not invented,
they wiped their a**s on clumps of grass,
and the were quite contented!

JGVillages 03-14-2020 05:24 AM

You can always use the Lifestyles section of the Daily Sun since there is no need to read it with everything closed

Yes, but it was used TP:1rotfl::1rotfl::1rotfl:

Bay Kid 03-14-2020 05:59 AM

We used the Sears catalog at grandma's outhouse. It hurt a little.

noslices1 03-14-2020 06:23 AM

Newsflash! In October 2020, the remaining people who are still alive travel through the United States checking the 300 million bodies that are lying all over the place and noticed one particular thing, all have very clean rear ends.

Jima64 03-14-2020 06:29 AM

I buy my tp in the big packs at costco or bj's but only when I am nearly out. No sense in hoarding this. Of course as we get nearer to hurricane season i will keep two cases of water in the house.

Part 2
In days of old and Knights were bold and toilets weren't invented

They left their loads upon the roads and walked away contented
