Best breakfast restaurant?

Will be staying a few days in August to decide on moving here. What is a good breakfast place?

Billys on 441 Summerfield

I’m a breakfast guy. Reveille Cafe. Been there twice, very good. Also, Breakfast Station in Leesburg.

If you’re in the south end Reveille is certainly the place to go.

Babubhat 07-03-2022 02:59 PM

First Watch or Kekes

PoolBrews 07-03-2022 03:34 PM

First Watch and Keke's are both chain restaurants. So so menu, and high prices. Check out Grandma's Diner. It's on the north end of The Villages on 441 near Marion Market. Great breakfast!

First Watch and Keke's are excellent. If you want to go further afield, Rosalie's in Winter Garden is my favorite.

Keefelane66 07-03-2022 03:48 PM

Is there breakfast diner in the Villages that cooks home fries on the grill if I wanted potatoes fried in grease I would order French fries

Sammy’s in Mulberry. They do not have a deep fryer. However they offer home fries on the menu.

Agree on 1st Watch and Keke's. We are in the Spanish Springs area. Will never drive 40+ miles for breakfast.

I’ve driven 200 miles round trip for a chili dog, several times.

Reveille Cafe in the south; Billy's Cafe in the north.

REDCART 07-03-2022 09:28 PM

Surprised no one mentioned Darrel’s Diners. There are several in TV. They do home fries on the griddle. Also Lil Bits Cafe on CR 101, I believe does as well.

valuemkt 07-03-2022 10:36 PM

if youre a potatoes guy, Billys has outstanding up north home fried potatoes. Reveille has tater tots.. Darrels is in between, with ok chunky potatoes. Darrels also has hash browns, not as good as WaffleHouse (you have to go a ways to find one), but again ok. For basic eggs meat potatoes, not considering distance, Billys and Darrels are good and affordable. Reveille has some foo foo items, similar to First Watch, which is way overpriced for my basic breakfast taste. nearby, but outside the bubble, The Train Station and Wolfies in Leesburg are both credible. All IMO obviously

Two Bills 07-04-2022 03:45 AM

Denny's is super popular with many TOTV members!:duck:

CFrance 07-04-2022 05:12 AM

First Watch is good if you are looking for unusual breakfasts. High price, though. Billy's has great potatoes and serves a ton of them, but their eggs are tiny. Rae Rae's on 441 between 466 466A is excellent, and they will put your name on a list if you call when leaving the house.

Bay Kid 07-04-2022 06:46 AM

The Flying Biscuit.

ohioshooter 07-04-2022 06:55 AM

How about the Metro Diner, used to be my favorite place to go around Naples. They closed down at Covid time.

MartinSE 07-04-2022 07:53 AM

If you like Southern cooking, the Cracker Barrel in Gainesville on i75 is always reliably good.

raynan 07-04-2022 11:53 AM

Too Jay's in Sumter Landing

Michael G. 07-04-2022 12:10 PM

I'm surprised no one mention Wolfe's for selection price and great food.
Worth the drive for me.

Why would you drive to Gainesville when we have a perfectly acceptable CB in the northern end of TV on 27/441?

We haven’t been in a couple of years but always enjoyed breakfast at the Cottage Inn, just South of 466. 340 S US Hwy 27 441, Lady Lake.

scosan 07-05-2022 04:39 AM

Rae Rae’s in Fruitland Park - best breakfast by far

GOLFER54 07-05-2022 04:47 AM

Your own kitchen.

bowlingal 07-05-2022 05:28 AM

depends on where you are staying/visiting. Bob Evans on 466 or 466A is great for breakfast. Cracker Barrel on 441, Denny's on 441, First Watch on 466A, Too Jays ( one in Lake Sumter and one in Brownwood) all are good. If you are staying south of 44 ( new section) can't help you. Too far for me to go, not interested

I have been way tooooo many times to Reveille and each time the food and the service blows my socks off.

The fresh squeezed orange juice is soooooo tasty you will think it’s fake- but you can see the big squeezer they use and it’s fun to watch the machine work!!

The cinnamon swirl cakes (pancakes) are ORGASMIC!! They taste like they took the best cinnamon but with lots of gooey icing and smashed it down and topped in with more gooey icing - but light and fluffy!!!

The MYSTIC stuffed French toast is INDESCRIBABLY delicious as well.

Oh and the cheesy grits!!! YUMMY FOR MY TUMMY!!!

Actually, everything I have tried as been great and the prices are actually pretty cheap considering how good the food is. Cheap and excellent food and service is hard to find in The Villages or anywhere these days.

Reveille is open 7AM-2PM- so they serve breakfast and lunch. There can be a long line but it moves fast usually not more than 5 or 10 minutes, and totally worth the wait.

WORTH THE DRIVE FROM ANYWHERE YOU ARE!!! Plus sooo many cool, beautiful and fun things down here, below 44.

Another vote for Billy’s because they have the outstanding up north home fried potatoes. Generous portions too.

We have done the same for Chili Dogs! Where is your place worth the 200 mile trip?
