Best Place for Breakfast

We go to the Cottage Inn in Lady Lake for Breakfast. On weekends, that's all they serve is Breakfast, during the week they serve Breakfast till 11, after that it's Lunch. We are heading there tomorrow morning. If you haven't heard of it or don't know where it is, let me know.

I've googgled Cottage Inn. It shows on the North side of 27\441 north of 466A in Fruitland Park. What so special about their breakfasts? Can it compare to Billy's Cafe? George

OK, now I'm curious. Where is Billy's and what's so special about it? Going out to eat breakfast has always been one of my fave things to do -- much more so than going out to dinner. Do either of these places have good eggs benedict?

Re: Best Place for Breakfast

Red...I don't know about eggs benedict at Billy's because I'm a simple eggs, sausage, hash browns, and rye toaster

Here I go spilling the beans....sigh

Billy's Cafe is located on 441/27 not too far from Walmart but on the opposite side of the road. It's a non-assuming, stand alone building with Billy's Cafe in big, bold simple letters.

Lil' Bits, in Palm Ridge Plaza, gets my vote. Cheery atmosphere and very reasonable prices, along with great food, What more can one ask for?

If you're near Millenia Mall in Orlando at breakfast time go to the Ikea furniture store's restaurant for Swedish breakfast food - very good and inexpensive.

Russ,

Palm Ridge Plaza is golf cart accessible, just off 466, near Southern Trace shopping center (where Publix is); actually, just across the street from Crispers.

Where can we find fresh corned beef hash. Not canned, fresh. Thanks.

Re: Best Place for Breakfast

How about a place that serves a good chipped beef on toast? Not garlic toast or Texas toast but regular toast points.

Re: Best Place for Breakfast

Lil' Bits serves Chipped Beef on toast. It's very good, as is everything at Lil Bits. As for corned beef hash, try the buffet at Katie Bells. My husband swears by it. I quit going to Billy's Cafe. I have a cholesterol problem and I asked for egg beaters instead of eggs in an omelet. The waitress said ok, but it only comes with ham. I asked if I could have some vegetables instead of the meat, like tomatoes or onions in the omelet, she said very rudely and very loudly, NO SUBSTITUTIONS! So I'll take my business elsewhere. Cottage Inn in Fruitlane Park is very reasonable and very quick for breakfast. And the waitresses don't yell at you.
