Limit to guest stay?

Curious if there is a limit to how long a grandchild can visit or how many nights an adult can stay?

jblum315 05-16-2015 04:51 AM

30 days total per year for grandchild. No limit on guests over age 19, but I don't know how long their guest passes can be (for pools etc.)

If over 19, as long as you can tolerate them. If under 19, 30 days total for the year.

who checks up on this???

The guest pass would need to be renewed every 30 days

The number of young adults and grandchildren living in The Villages is growing at an alarming rate. The school buses come into some of the areas in here to pick up children that live permanently with Grandma and Grandpa.I believe that nobody really checks up on this , therefor this so called 55+ community may soon become a myth.

It's in the computer once you get guest passes. However, if no guest passes are issued, then it becomes one of those things that is complaint driven.

virgind 05-16-2015 06:25 AM

Why get a guest pass not needed

That is so funny.

So I'd guess that like 'gated community' it is a myth. Last winter I was never askedto show my guest pass

All information can be found here;

http://districtgov.org/departments/R...D%20Policy.pdf

Guest ID cards are issued for a guest (s) whose current residence is outside
Lake, Marion and Sumter counties for up to 30 days from the issue date. Guest
ID card renewals may be requested after the 30th day for an additional 30 days
and renewals may continue to be issued every 30 days.
The In-Area Guest ID card for qualified family members is valid for one (1) year
from date of issuance.

I think most people would wonder where exactly you mean? I have never seen a school bus around here in The Villages anywhere except on main arteries like 466, 441/27 or 466A..

I respectfully say that I think your post is a gross exaggeration.

I would be willing to bet a Coca-Cola that if someone had grandkids living with them in The Villages that someone would quickly make a call to the Compliance Department.

Just look at the number of complaints have been generated for lawn decorations!

There would a literal uproar over live-in kids.

I don't believe this to be true. Where are the "areas in here"? What villages or streets are you referring to? Maybe the the non-age restricted, family friendly areas that are adjacent to The Villages?

As long as 1 roll of toilet paper lasts.
