Free Speech in a Marriage.

Unless one of you has Turret's Syndrome how many marriages actually have Free Speech?

I was always careful with whatever I said around any woman I wanted to get intimate with at some point. Maybe not so much with those I just saw as friends but still if there was any hope....

My 224 613 Project has always been a little too much baggage for my various girlfriends or the women I have had an interest in as the interest in this Project dates to February 28, 1976. And I have a lot quite traumatic memories attached to it. So, I never married.

Free Speech has been extinguished in most successful Marriages. It's sorta like the probationary period in a new job except it lasts alot longer. It's not like making it into the union where you can cruise once you make it. Consideration & Patience is needed for success. What I'm struggling to say is you can say what's on your mind kindly but you better be ready for the response. That's the best I can explain it until someone on here straightens me out and I have to defend myself. I know one thing for certain that it's no fun being the Chief when you don't have any Indian's!

I have always feared the twist of Lysistrata as well. SparkNotes: Lysistrata: Summary

That is to say. Speak the wrong thing and no soup for you for quite some time.

How much free speech depends on what works for each couple at that particular date and time, subject to change.

dewilson58 05-19-2016 07:08 AM

Depends on if my bride and I are in the same room or not.

I exercise a lot of self-restraint when talking to women at Doggie Doo Run Run especially if they have a pit bull mix in tow. I would probably do this if they had a Yorkie though as well.

When dating a lawyer you often need to be quite careful as well as you might get sued and need them at some point in the future.

Then there are librarians who might say you have not brought back the $1 per day video just yet even though you had.

That did happen a few times when I was getting a little too aggressive with my 224 613 Project with some of the libraries in Tampa Bay. I found out that my Free Speech Expression resulting in them waiting to check-in some of my materials or somehow using an Administrative Function to override their Library Circulation records.

At least, it was never more than $5 or so. Still very irritating and I stopped going to that Library System and refused to pay the fine.

Some librarians show their teeth and its not in a smile.

This has never happened here with the Villages' area libraries and I have been quite laid-back with the 224 613 Project with regards to local libraries especially after the March 2, 2004 Palm Harbor Library General Counsel lawsuit and blacklist from volunteering threat on the behalf of Palm Harbor Library Director Gene Coppola. This was after I pointed out in many e-mails to his staff that they no longer had a link to the Florida Victim Services Directory Victim Services Directory something I had fought hard for from about 1999-2000 onward. My Free Speech pretty much forced me to get out of Dodge so to speak. That or try to hire my own lawyer which probably would have been a problem as my 224 613 Project had angered some of them as well.

Google Taltarzac725 and you will see why I say strongly and from very long term experiences that Free Speech is not Free and often comes with a very stiff Price.

Just because we have free speech, it doesn't mean that we may not suffer the consequences of it.

Free speech only guarantees freedom from legal prosecution.

That really only applies if you are a legislator speaking on the floor of the Legislative Assembly. It seems like anywhere else there are limitations on just what and to whom you can express this speech.

The marriage bed I would assume is one place where you have to be the most careful about what you say. Father of the Bride’s Speech – Jokes quotes and ideas

I quite understand what you mean Nucky. My least favorite phrase is uttered by my wonderful wife when she starts saying: "How do you think...(fill in the blank).

That's what I like about dogs, they seldom ask you if they look good in this pants suit or if that casserole was good. I do a lot of cooking though as do many men here in the Villages. Some real male gourmet cooks on my block. :icon_hungry::icon_hungry:

I should be taking lessons from some of these men. And they seem to know when to shut up which as you can tell is sometimes a problem of mine especially if you look at the history of my 224 613 Project if you Google Taltarzac725.

:agree:

The First Amendment protects us only from the government, not from each other. You cannot speak offensive language and invoke "Free Speech" to defend what you are saying.

Choosing to speak diplomatically, particularly when in social settings where you disagree with others, is not a violation of your rights to free speech. It is your choice. You are "free" to say anything you want. However, you may not like the results.
