QUESTION ---- Village of Fenney ??

Does the "Village of Fenney" fall within the city limits of Wildwood ????

It appears so from reading the Districts minutes..

Any answers / comments ???

We just bought there yesterday. It is Wildwood, but the address will be The Villages.

Villages address yes, Wildwood city taxes yes.

Actually it is a Wildwood "address" that uses The Villages as a personal preference.
The zip is Wildwood and that is primary director of the mail.

Just like The Villages and Lady Lake are used interchangeably based on the home owners preference......the zip is the Lady Lake post office.

I don't believe The Villages Zip 32163 (south of 466A) can use the Lady Lake address because that area was originally Wildwood; only 32162 can use Lady Lake.

We are in Wildwood but the mail goes to Lady Lake and then brought down to the sales office. It doesn't go through the Wildwood post office, if we have a problem or want to hold delivery we have to go to Lady Lake. The city taxes are $400 per year on $100,000 valuation however look at the prices on the homes down here compared to the other villages, much lower at this point.

Why the sales office? Is it then sorted for local mail stations? If I want my mail held, I put a provided card in my mail box.

there are some entities that do not recognize 'the villages' as an address. I live in sumter county with a zip code of 32159 lady lake in the village of rio grande.

Nope, we have to go to the sales office and ask for our mail. We also do not get mail on Saturdays nor do we get priority mail delivered to the door, have to ask if we have any packages. We can't even drop off a letter that we want to mail out. Really a PITA

The Post Office lists Lady Lake the preferred city be for mail sent to 32159 but accepts The Villages

from the USPS web site :

Default City Name in ZIP Code™ 32159
Please use the default city whenever possible.
LADY LAKE FL
Other city names recognized for addresses in 32159

THE VILLAGES FL

USPS.com® - ZIP Code™ Lookup

For Zipcode 32162 the post office prefers The Villages but will accept but will accept Lady Lake

For Zipcode 32163 the post office only lists The Villages as an acceptable city.

I have a house in Santo Domingo - Sumter County and a zip code of 32159 and if my mail is addressed to The Village or Lady Lake I get it with no problem.

You can call it whatever you wish. The PO uses the zip code.

This is temporary until 25% of residents have moved in.

I remember when there were no zip codes and our phone number started with two letters.

Wonder how long that will be, I think they are planning about 3000 homes there. I was told a couple weeks ago that they have sold less than 200 in the 6 months they have been selling homes there. No idea how many have actually been closed on.
