How do you stay cool at night?

Please keep this .... PG :1rotfl:

Sheets DO make a difference! What do you prefer?

We have differnet sheets for summer and winter sleeping. However.... we don't (yet) live in The Villages.

Also.. I understand air conditioning, however STILL.. I bet there is a “cooler selection” for bed sheets.

What do you prefer and why??

We just use regular sheets. There are times in late Dec early January I wish I had some flannel sheets. Not every year though.
We keep the house at 77 and most times I just sleep with a sheet. I have a blanket handy though.

I sleep with only a sheet for cover year round and the ceiling fan on medium speed.

Great question.
I've always wondered if "cooling pillows" make a big difference.

We use bamboo sheets. Love them. Also, our air conditioning is set on 72 degrees at night and we use a ceiling fan year round.

Yes, here we have a very differnet definition of hot and cold than at The Villages. We open all the windows when it gets above 32F. We have flannel sheets, but where we live now, we only use them in December and January. Otherwise we use a cooler polyester sheet set.

I also know that our definition will change with time at The Villages.

I am asking if those who live there, do you use only Poly sheets or do you use cotton with the AC?

In our winters, we set the heat to 64 to 68. We do not have AC.

I like to sleep in a cool room with lots of blankets so I set the thermostat at 68 overnight year round.

Ok, at your location I assume you can open your windows and leave the cool air in at night. In Fl the answer would depend on what tempeture you set your heater (we have them) and A/C at. Since our tempeture is constant I think a sheet will do. I would also get a ceiling fan.

I turn my blacklight lava lamp on.

I put on 2 things:
My Tom Jones Greatest Hits Full Album
My Tom Jones Pajama Jumpsuit

I started to doubt my sanity and made an appointment to see a psychiatrist. I told him about my nightly ritual to stay cool and asked if anyone else does this in The Villages. He said "It's not unusual."
