Average age in The Villages

I am considering purchasing a home in TV, however, I just turned 81.
Just wondering about average age groups there & if there are many in their
80's. Thanks - Arnie

There are lots of people in their 80's. The average age is higher in the older sections of The Villages.

Average age would guess 70-75

No need to guess. The data is easily found. The Villages, FL | Data USA

Some residents don't abide by the agreement they signed and have their kid live with them... That may skew the statistics..

Only as old as you feel. Living in theTV makes you feel young!

What agreement? As long as one resident is over 55, and there are no children under 19, you can have as many other people living in your house as you want. You can also get an exception and have no people over 55 in the house, using the 80 percent rule.

There are all age groups here in The Villages.

We both moved here in our 60’s and it was exhausting. And we moved
from Tampa only an hour away.

My question to myself would be how hard is it to make a big move the older you get?

Smalley 06-23-2022 02:27 PM

We right about your age and we're planning on moving to TV as well. In so many ways, the lifestyle works well for our age group and we see many folks who appear to be in their 80's or 90's. Good luck and go for it!

I'm confused. You have at least 3 previous posts over the past 7-8 years where you said you bought homes in various villages. What am I missing?

Maybe I'm just not reading them correctly.

That's a bingo with that reply. It's a great place.

You're right. Am snow bird & like a dummy, I sold last home 2 years ago. Thinking of moving my residence to TV now.

So you've owned multiple homes in TV, have snowbirded in TV, and you need to ask us about age demographics?
I'm really confused now.
