I'm really confused now.

Some kind of game we're not in on.

I don’t necessarily agree that the average age is higher in the older sections of the Villages. We live between LSL and SS in CDD1, which certainly is an older section. Since we bought our home 7 years ago approximately 3/4 of our neighborhood has turned over and become relatively young by Villages standards. Housing turnover in a retirement community is constant, every time we hear an ambulance we joke that another estate sale is right around the corner. Many of our new relatively young neighbors chose to live in the northern section of the Villages because they want to be where there are abundant golfing options close to their homes.

Just wondering about average age groups there & if there are many in their
80's. Thanks - Arnie

I think I read somewhere the average age is 70. Seriously, teasing, I find each year I am a year older. Fitting in? I promise you will not be told to sit in the corner we know you are 81. I am average between average and your age.

That is the agreement, yes

Not sure I understand your reply. What agreement? The post you responded to is correct. One person in household over 55 and no one under 19. Do you think it is something different?

The average age in our hood is NOTHING but over 100!

Average age 2020 - 72.2

Yes, there are plenty of people in eighties here. My whole street is late 70s early 80s. You will want to be north of 44 for that age group. The further north you go the older the neighbors on average. We live in Dunedin. If you have health problems check out availability of doctors for your conditions.

You’ll be considered a young whippersnapper if you settle on the orange blossom side :-) ;-)

I'm still on the young side of that line. That must be why the babes are always swooping on me. In TV I'm cougar bait.

joeharing 06-24-2022 06:19 AM

67.2

If your kid is 19 or older they can live with their parents per the agreement you signed they can buy a home here but they can live here.

WRONG - about three years ago it was published to be 66.2 years old and younger people are moving in down south! I wou be surprised if it has increased.
