Who else is amazed with…

Amazon?

We are not Prime members but always are so satisfied. 3 days ago our Dyson vacuum went dead. Searched Amazon for a new lithium battery. Bingo $34.99. $35 for free shipping. Searched and found .99 wafer cookies. Ordered 3. Free shipping then. Perfect.
Got an Amazon notice the shipment would arrive today 11am-3pm. Checked their site and saw a realtime map with a sleigh stating it’s 4 stops away. Watched as the sleigh moved to our house and right then it was delivered.
Opened the one box with the cookies and the battery. Just installed the battery, vac is perfect and cookies in the pantry
So spoiled with Amazon. We always go with them whenever we need something. Especially love their return policy.
Although we’d prefer to shop locally etc, simply cannot beat Amazon.

Amazon is good. We've been prime members for over ten years now and love their delivery service as well as Prime TV.

That is not to say that they are faultless however. A big problem with Amazon, IMO, is that a lot of stuff bought on their website is junk, primarily from China. Case in point: some years back the battery on my old(er) laptop died. Battery shop I stopped at in Bloomington, MN, quoted me a price of $70 for a new one--if they could get it, which was not guaranteed as it was no longer manufactured. I decided to shop Amazon for one, and found it...less than $20, titled with one of those phony names that Chinese manufacturing seems so good at using, and when it promptly arrived it fit perfectly. Trouble was it would stay charged for only 20 minutes or so at most, and when plugged in it would get VERY hot while charging. Another time I needed a couple of those little round batteries some appliances use...bathroom scales, headphones and the like...and found some. Two for something like $9m at Walgreen's or CVS. A card of the same battery model cost about $12 for a card of 20 at Amazon, so I figured the risk was minimal. Same problem: whereas the Walgreen's batteries lasted for months, these died in days. And some didn't work at all.

Caveat emptor.

If u cnt find it on amazon..its not worth buying.

The other day, a friend asked me to order an item for them and gave me the website address. I found the exact same item for 10 dollars less on Amazon and with free shipping and a faster delivery. Most retailers would like you to use their website, but they cannot afford not to also list their products on Amazon.

They have been late or completely missing delivery on 6 of my last 9 orders. They charged me for not returning an item that was never delivered. They also promised credits for late deliveries that never showed up in my checkout. This is all in the last few months. Prior to that I hardly ever had issues.

Many items I've used in the past can not find on retail store shelves but always on Amazon with 2 day shipping.
Even some items are delivered with in 24 hrs some B4 8am

I receive about 4 to 6 Amazon deliveries every week. Occasionally, they lose a package, but they automatically refund the charge. So far, they don't owe me any money.

Lowes and Home Depot have lost almost all of my business because Amazon sells everything that those stores sell. Why leave the house?

There are some things I only buy on Amazon. Like the filtrete under-sink water cartridges and the filters for my Keurig (I don't buy k-cups, I use refillable insert filters). I also love Amazon Prime Video. Between that and Netflix, I get most of my "TV" entertainment.

Amazon is the best and most trustworthy company I've ever used. I buy from them regularly and if there's ever a problem they have always made it right.

Our go to site before anywhere else.
A couple of problems were sorted immediately. No fuss or hassle.
Buy today, deliver tomorrow, and I don't have to hunt round shops hoping they have what I need.

Been with Amazon since its inception. Damn why didnt I buy stock then?

One of my complaints is that stuff I bought before that fit me perfectly, or was a great product/price, is no longer available and they will suggest other brands that aren't as good. First world problem I guess.

Anybody ever do a pickup?

I'm still using them and they always make things right in the end. But lately I've had a lot more issues and had to deal with them on the chat much more often. I should mention that my problems have been at my Massachusetts house, not in the Villages.

I've also noticed they started using USPS quite a bit more recently. Perhaps they are having driver issues.

The same reason I didn't buy Apple when I bought my first SE/30, back in 1989...

No money...

That's probably due to some of their vendors, who -sell- thru Amazon, but migh ship on their own...

Image the 10's of thousand's of cardboard Amazon must use.
Are there enough land fills to except it all?
