Alexa help

I use Alexa for simple tasks such as controlling my lights setting reminders getting weather information, etc. however it is driving me nuts because every time I ask her to set a reminder, she says “no problemo” or plays a short Diddy or some other nonsensical noise. I have searched and searched to find a setting to change to stop that, but I have been unable to do so. Any experience Alexa users who can give me some guidance? It thank you

Have you changed the language setting to English?

Yes the problem is not that she says “no problemo” it is that she says anything at all

Buy her some flowers

Try this? If all else fails try a complete reset? When did it start doing this as it seems it was not doing it before? Not to be a smart arse but can you tell Alexa to stop saying things like this? She is your child, LOL

It may be a "skill" which you can deactivate in the app, or enable "brief mode" which removes most responses. You may get a chime acknowledgement but no voice response.

Go to the nearest trash can and throw ‘Alexa’ away! Didn’t you hear what they did to that guy who did NOTHING?

Your Alexa is in ‘Minions’ mode. You must have enabled this skill. Simply tell her to turn off Minion theme.

What are you referring to?

Put Duct Tape over the speaker.

You will always get a voice response acknowledging the request. So? They added a Little jingle. How about you just enjoy the few seconds of that!

There’s a Minion Mode?

Is Alexa asking you WHY you want the reminder? If I don't give a reason, like laundry, oven, party she will not remind me.

Disable 'Follow Up" mode

I believe "Follow Up" mode is enabled on your Alexa device. Using the Amazon Alexa app, select Devices at the bottom of the screen, then find and select your Alexa device. Once selected, click the gear icon, then scroll through the list of setting until you find and select "Follow Up" mode and toggle off to disable it. See if that resolves your problem.
