We've eaten with ours at R.J. Gator's but it's been awhile.

Some do and some don't. I suggest calling the restaurant first.

Sonny's, TooJay's(I think at SS only)and Johnny Rocket's, allow dogs outside only .

A lot of restaurants with patio's will permit pets outside, but not all of them. It is best to call ahead because policies change. Up The Creek used to allow dogs, but now it is Codys, I'm not sure. Gators and Crispers were pet friendly.

They all allow people to smoke, even cigars outside, I would sure hope if they allow that nasty habit to go on, dogs, cats and parrots would be allowed.

I found this article that you might be interested in that somewhat aligns with what's being discussed here: http://www.chow.com/food-news/54051/...s-restaurants/

your dog will just as happy laying on the couch at home. just because you love your dog does not mean the rest of the world has to put up with it.:

You could say the same about old folks with walkers and wheel chairs. We love our dog just as much as we do our disabled friends and realitives. If you owned a pet, and not just a DOG, you would realize they love to be with you wherever you go. We take our dog for a golf cart ride and run in the fields at least 4 times a week. At least our dogs don't smoke, don't blow their nose, burp etc., while were eating. Most dogs have better manners than most people.

I would rather have a dog next to me than some screaming kid that the parents or grandparents seem to think are the greatest things in the world.

santee 12-29-2011 05:48 PM

what about people who are allergic to dogs? must they suffer because you can;t leave your dog at home.

Happinow 12-29-2011 07:07 PM

No dogs in restaurants please!

I don't own any pets, but I do think they are adorable! However, I don't think pets belong either inside or outside any restaurant. I am allergic to all pet hair and have difficulty swallowing when I am around them. (I am otherwise healthy) What happens when I am eating my dinner outdoors with a dog next to me? Not to mention that dogs lick themselves, pee, poop and you probably can't control that when they are at a restaurant. I realize that pets are part of a family but you could just leave them home for a bit while we eat. We would very much appreciate it.
