Up north, rangers have the ability to speed up play.

Prime example: Played Pelican yesterday on tale end of a group of 19 ladies (not necessarily accusing women of slow play, have seen many men the same way). Waiting to tee off on No. 4 (First Par 4), the first of their group was driving up to tee off on No. 7. The next group in front of them had just teed off on No. 9. Over a two hole gap in front of this group. I walked off after No. 6, after a 1 hour, 45 minute six hole round. Up north, the rangers would have them skip a hole or leave the course.
