Saudi Arabia does some bad and some good . They have been a help in getting funding for covert operations by western governments including close to home backing of the Contras in Nicaragua ,they have also been fighting a war against the Houthis rebels backed by Iran for many years with support from the USA ,the UK and France . The war is ugly but so are most civil wars . The Saudi family is a true believer in the slogan the enemy of my enemy is my friend .

I don’t think it’s about morality. Just players maximizing net worth. I will say though I am shocked at the amount of money. These are just great golfers. They aren’t solving world hunger.

Quote:
Money in and of itself is not evil, it is simply a means of the transference of value, however greed and avarice of money generally lead to a moral decay resulting in what is generally referred to as evil. We all worked hard during our lifetimes to better our position and improve the life we had and gave to our families. In modern society this goal is generally achieved by most through the acquisition of wealth and an increased value of our own earnings power. This is neither good nor evil, that definition is solely within the individual's own control in how they achieve it and what they do with it. Philanthropy is rarely considered evil though many consider those in a position to be the most philanthropic as somehow being evil people because they were able to amass a considerable financial position in life. Rarely is that the case. I would submit that those who quickly go about throwing the sin of "greed" on others are themselves guilty of just as deadly a sin, envy.

Hate is bad, but it is not the root, it is the result of many other things. Envy, fear, lack of understanding and other things. Hate is for small minds, imHo.

Now college athletes are getting paid. They can leave after one year for a school who offers them ore money. No loyalty!

1 Timothy 6:10 King James Version 10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. It's not the money itself that's evil. What you can do with it can be a very good thing. |
